At Guns Inc., we provide laser marking, engraving, and cutting services to customers in a wide range of industries. One of our core markets is the firearms industry.
For these customers, we offer Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) laser engraving for National Firearms Act (NFA) weapons, including short barrel shotguns (SBSs), short barrel rifles (SBRs), and silencers marked in compliance with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives (ATF) standards. This service allows them to add important information (e.g., serial numbers and owner information) and personalized elements (e.g., custom graphics) to their firearms.
At Rowe Tactical & Guns Inc. we are highly experienced with laser engraving and familiar in all aspects of 27 CFR § 479.102. Combined, these qualities make us an ideal partner for all firearm engraving needs.
We maintain a license from the ATF that allows us to act as a Type 07 Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) and Special Occupational Taxpayer (SOT). It enables us to take possession of firearms, suppressors, stocks, barrels, uppers and lowers, and rails and accessories and engrave them with the necessary information (e.g., serial numbers, owner/NFA trust information, etc.) and personalized text and graphics legally.
One of the requirements to possess a Class 3 or Title II gun is to have your legal ownership information permanently engraved in a location that is noticeable and won’t be altered or destroyed during use. There are font, size, and depth requirements prescribed by the ATF as well.
The depth requirement (.003”) is most important because that is the hardest aspect to obtain for an engraving shop. Most retail trophy and engraving shops do not have the capability to engrave to that depth without damaging the surface material. Guns Inc. not only has the capability to meet that depth but also exceed it quickly.
We are registered with the ATF as an FFL Type 7 Manufacturer, which gives us the capability to take delivery of fully assembled or partial firearms for engraving.
